Should you wish to check-in or out earlier or later, please don’t hesitate to ask. Outside of the high season weeks it is usually possible!
With regards to a late check-in, we like to inform you that the supermarkets in Saas-Fee close at 19:00. For your comfort we offer a Pre-stocking/restocking of groceries service.
ARRIVAL TO SAAS-FEE
Saas-Fee is a wonderful Alpin village with the freshest air possible and we like to keep it that way. Being well known all around the world for it’s efforts in sustainability, and among many other things, it is car free. If you travel to Saas-Fee by car, you will first enter a large parking garage where you can unpack and leave your car. From there the local Taxi can pick you up with their electric quite funny looking cars. We advice you to first park in the designated unloading area on the entrance level, then call the taxi and tell them the terminal & number you are parked at. While waiting for the taxi you can unload and park down in the multistorey garage. After a short drive of not more than 5 minutes you will reach your apartment/chalet.
Should you wish to walk to the apartment/chalet, the best would be to park the car in the multi storey parking garage, but before you do so, you might want to unload as close to the village as you can. When entering the parking garage drive up, over the bridge and to the left. Around the corner on the right are some spaces to park for short terms. You can unload here, have someone stay with the luggage and then straight away park in the parking garage. It you like to park on the outside parking space please be reminded that in the winter it can snow during the week.(yes, also in the spring time!)
Please note that it is never allowed to drive through the village, never drive beyond the parking area.

*When navigating through the village on google maps ‘walking’ it might not show you the best/quickest roads. Best to have a look yourself which streets might be quicker and take a shortcut as it doesn’t recognise all the roads.
TOURIST TAX
In our ‘before arrival message’ we will kindly ask you to fill in the details of you and your guests for the tourist tax registration.
Following the link, you will be forwarded directly to the tourist office’s website. It is important that you write down exactly all the names and birthdays of the people staying with you. If anyone of your party arrives days earlier or later please adjust this on the form, or let me know.

We kindly ask you to pay the tourist tax in cash during your stay, by leaving it on the table when you check-out.
In Summer & Fall this is CHF7,- per adult / CHF3,50 per child, per night.
In winter it is CHF 4,50 per adult / CHF 2,25 per child, per night.
The cards will be automatically sent to you on the day of your arrival, to the email address you have provided in the information.
TRANSPORTATION IN SAAS-FEE
In winter there is free electric public busses and the iconic red train for you available.
In the apartment will be a flyer of your closest bus stop.

SKI PASS
Pre-order your ski pass online under the following link:

You will then receive a QR-code/ Link to pick up the skipasses. Should you wish to have us pick up the skicards for you, please forward the pick up email at least 3 days before arrival and we’ll have the passes ready for you at the property upon check-in.
Children under the age of 6 are for free. They may go underneath the barrier or you can request a ski pass at the counter for them. Children up until the age of 9 years get a free ski pass when the parent buys a week pass in combination with the Saastal Cards!

Your apartment/chalet building might have it’s own ski room. How ever it is also very easy to rent a ski locker directly at the ski slopes.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING
In Switzerland we pay for rubbish disposal per bag. All house rubbish must be disposed of only in the official orange bags/liners called ‘Kehrichtsacks’. More bin liners can be bought at any local supermarket. They come in different sizes – 35, 70 or 110 litres and can be purchased in single form or per roll of 10pieces.
Full garbage bags can be left by the side of the road on Tuesday and Friday morning. On all other days, take your ‘Kehrichtsacks’ to the Kehrichthaus (little wooden huts). Find here your closest location: GOOGLE MAPS *coming soon
Recycling in Saas-Fee. We love recycling! Have a look at this recycling flyer for what can be recycled in Saas-Fee.
Being a car free village at the end of the valley means that disposing of recycling can be a challenge. We ask our guests to help with this challenge and adhere to the strict laws and regulations Saas-Fee has implemented for rubbish disposal. Anything in the recycling flyer should be taken to the recycling centre located in the recycling tunnel between the car park and post office.
SUPERMARKETS
Saas-Fee is a small village and we’d like to make you aware that the supermarkets close earlier then what you might be used to from home. This winter we’ll have a couple closed and a couple new supermarkets in Saas-Fee! Have a look on our personalized map to see the closest one to you. Google usually knows the opening hours.
